Oral cancers are on the rise in the United States and many doctors believe there may be a link to HPV.
It was believed that the consumption of tobacco and alcohol was an important risk factor for oral cancers. But now, there are convincing data that suggest that some types of oral cancer are associated with HPV or HPV. Vaccines are available for the prevention of HPV, but have been introduced mainly in girls as a means to prevent cervical cancer.
When it comes to oral cancer, says chief surgeon Namo Kim, MD, “It’s the same high-risk HPV [that seems to have been caused], and that’s the reason the FDA recently approved the vaccine for young children as well. As long as the epidemic is infected. ”
